This is the prayer that I have prayed for years privately as well as during our special Week of Prayer meetings that often preceded our Revivals for the past 10 years.Since so many Christians were helped to learn better how to pray for Revival, we felt led of the Lord to write it out, print it in Booklet form, and give a copy to each church member where we were having the Week of Prayer.

The blessed Holy Spirit immediately began to bless its use in unusual ways. Many have now been helped personally and now use it as a pattern and guide for scripturally praying daily for Revival..and a great many other needs. We will share stories about this at a later time.

We don't suggest that you memorize our words. However, reading the Prayer out loud to the Lord several times will instill the scriptural statements and principles in your heart. After awhile, the Prayer Pattern will become an aid using your own words so you will know you are praying scriptually.

FIRST..CONFESS SIN (PRAY OUT LOUD..FERVENTLY)

    Dear Father, I come to you to CONFESS my own personal sins. I confess to you my "Worthlessness" and "Unworthiness." I humble myself in your sight, knowing my own wickedness and constant disobedience. Because of what I know to be true of me, I acknowledge that I deserve only your WRATH! But I plead the "Blood of Jesus Christ" for your MERCY!
    Father, I confess to you my sin of "Pride." I confess to you the sin of thinking more highly of myself then I ought to think; of thinking that I am "Something" when I am "Nothing" of wanting to make a name for myself and for trying to impress others.
    Father have mercy on me! According to the multitude of thy mercies, FORGIVE me of my pride and arrogance. Forgive me for being more worried about what PEOPLE THINK of me than for what you know about me. Oh, God, have mercy on this wicked unprofitable "Servant" and unworthy "Son" of yours.
    Father, forgive me for NOT HATING SIN like I should; for loving this world and desiring the "Things" of the world more than should. Forgive me for my UNCONTROLLABLE TONGUE and THOUGHTS that dwell too often on sin and wickedness. Forgive me for not filling my heart, mind and soul with the Word Of God...instead of the things of this old, wicked world. God have mercy on me for not being a man of PRAYER! For not weeping and waiting before you more daily, For not being brokenhearted that Satan is being glorified and obeyed while you are being "Mocked, Ridiculed, and Blasphemed"! Have mercy on me for my lack of "Tears"; for not spending more time with you weeping in "Prayer." I confess my great wickedness and laziness!
    Father, I confess to you the "Sins of my Fathers." I confess that I am just like them..and even worse in some ways! Because of their sins passed down to me and the old sinful nature inherited from Adam, I am so "Prone to Wander"! Forgive me for giving in to "Temptation" too often and for "making provision for the flesh to satisfy the lust thereof." I know that in this flesh there dwelleth no good thing" and I prove it constantly by deliberately sinning against you. I plead the "Blood" for your mercy. Forgive me for disobeying and disappointing you so often.
    Father, forgive us our sins that "WE" your people have wickedly committed against you. Forgive us the "Lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life" we regularly and wickedly commit against you.
    We have deliberately DISOBEYED YOUR WORD; we have turned our "Backs" instead of our "Faces" towards you in persistent, prevailing, brokenhearted prayer. We have been satisfied with "NOT" being "Filled with the Holy Spirit," even ignoring and refusing to "Know" Him Intimately. We have "laughed and played" when we should have rather "wept and mourned." We have closed our ears to you and opened our eyes to the world. Forgive us for not "Loving" you..and you alone..with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength!
    Our Father we have "Displeased" you. We have "Dishonored" the Lord Jesus Christ and "Grieved" the blessed Holy Spirit. Forgive us for our great "Sin" against you!
    Oh Dear Father, have mercy on us your people according to the multitude of your tender mercies. We don't deserve it, but we plead the "Blood" and ask in Jesus' Name.. "in Wrath remember mercy"!
Search me and try me "by thy Holy Spirit. See if there is any wicked way or sinful thought still unconfessed. I don't want ANYTHING to remain that could come between you and me. I don't want anything to keep you from being "Glorified" in America and the world. Show me anything and everything that I may "Confess and Forsake" it! Thank you for doing it for me. Make it impossible for me to overlook or continue to hide anything.

SECOND..PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING

    Thank you dear Father, for the "Blood of Jesus Christ" that has satisfied your wrath about "My Sins," the sins of your people and the sins of the whole world. We praise you that the blood of Jesus Christ your son cleanses us from people, and the sins of the whole world. We praise you that the blood of Jesus Christ your son cleanses us from ALL SIN and makes it possible for us to come "Boldly" to your throne, dear God, to obtain "Mercy" and find "Grace to Help" in time of need!
    Oh dear Father, thine is the greatness, the power and the glory. We offer you the "calves of our lips" and the sacrifices of "Praise and Thanksgiving" for your Greatness"!
    Thank you Father, for your great "Love" wherewith you have loved us. For the "Gift" of your love..dear Lord Jesus. Thank You for sending your Son to die on the cross for our sins.
    Thank you dear Lord Jesus for "Loving" us so much that you WILLINGLY "Laid down your life" on the cross that we might be saved. Thank you for "Suffering" my shame, my disgrace, my pain, my agony, and my "Hell" on the Cross! Thank you dear Lord, for being obedient unto the Father..obedient unto death...even the death of the Cross..all "For Me"! Thank you for "Saving" me and giving me a "Home" in Heaven!
    Thank you Father, for the "Gift" of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for sending "Someone" so great and glorious to comfort, guide and help! Forgive us as your people for ignoring and not really knowing or even "Wanting to Know" Him! Forgive us for not being "Filled" with Him for "Power." Forgive me for constantly grieving and disobeying Him..deliberately or ignorantly. Help me to know Him more intimately and personally as the "Friend" you intended Him to be, that I may "Obey," commune and fellowship with Him!
    Dear Father, thank you for your "Goodness," your "Mercy" and for your "Wonderful Works" to the children of men! Thank you for your "Mercy that endureth forever"! Thank you that you "NEVER leave us or forsake us"! Thank you for your great "Faithfulness," Even "if we believe not, you abide FAITHFUL; you cannot deny yourself"!
    Thank you Father, for your sweet and precious "Word." Thank you that it is "True"..."Alive"...and "Powerful." Thank you that ALL YOUR PROMISES are "Yes and Amen" in Christ, all for your glory!
    Thank you for being "Oh thou that HEAREST PRAYER"! We praise you for knowing that "if" you "Hear" our prayers...YOU WILL ANSWER! We rejoice to know that you are GOD ALONE; that YOU ALONE can "Hear and Answer" our prayers! We praise you for it! Thank you dear Lord Jesus, for making it all possible for us to come to the Father "By Your Blood" and "In Your Name"!
    Father, we praise you that you are the God of "Impossible Things"! There is NOTHING too hard for you you"! Thank you for giving "All Power to Jesus Christ your Son and "Demonstrating" that power by the blessed Holy Spirit. We glorify you and glory in you for the GREATNESS of your "Power" and your "Glory"!

THIRD...ASK FOR "BROKENNESS"

    Dear Father, in Jesus' name I ask that you would "Break me." "Break" my stubborn, self-willed, pride-filled spirit! "Break" my heart. Break up the "Fallow," hard-packed ground of my heart. I can't do it! Do it for me. Give me a "Broken-heart" greater then anything I have ever known.
    Oh dear God, GIVE ME TEARS! Open the flood gates of the fountain of tears within me that I may weep and cry aloud before you day and night in prayer.
    Father! Give me a great brokenness over my own sin and wickedness...my coldness and indifference..the "Worldliness" of your people..the "Deadness" of our Churches..and the devouring and destroying of Christians everywhere by Satan at his will. Oh God, have mercy and deliver us from "Ourselves" as well as from your enemy the Devil!
    Give us great brokenness over the "Lost" souls of America and the world! Cause us to lose sleep and weep into the night for our unsaved loved ones and friends. May we "Weep" for them in prayer, and weep "in front" of them as we witness to them.
    Father in your great mercy you will not reward us according to our iniquities or repay us according to our sins. You know "Frame," that we are but "Dust"..and "Sinful Dust" at that! "Oh, thou who are merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy"..hurry to help us! Let not the "Wicked" rule over us and force even greater wickedness upon us. Spare thy people greater reproach! Do whatever it takes to save us from the desire of the "Wicked." "Break us".. Break ALL your people everywhere! "Fill" me and all your people with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then use us all to bring "Glory" to your great name..to the great name of the dear Lord Jesus Christ..and the great name of the blessed Spirit of God!

FOURTH.. (A) SEND REVIVAL (IN JESUS NAME)

    Oh my Father..."SEND REVIVAL to America..and the world! Let it begin in America and spread to the rest of the world.
    "Send Revival" to your fundamental churches everywhere. Oh God, make a distinction between the "True" and the "False" churches...revealing those that really belong to you.
    "Revive" YOUR preachers and people everywhere! Those that can and will be "Revived." "Fill" each one with the Holy Ghost and make "Flaming," Holy, Bold Witnesses of us all! "Send Revival" to (call your church by name). "Fill" my Pastor (call him by name) with the Holy Spirit and with Power! Make a "Preacher of Righteousness" out of him..a hater of Sin! Empower and stir him to lift up his voice like a trumpet...to CRY ALOUD and SPARE NONE in showing your people their sins! Help him to "Call Sin by Name," exposing and condemning it! To "Hate" sin with every fiber of his soul!
    Holy Father, only you have "Revival" to give! Only you can "Send" it! In Jesus name, we ask for your "Heaven Sent"..."Holy Ghost Revival"! We must have your "Divine Intervention" or we are Destroyed! "Revive us AGAIN that they people may rejoice in thee"! REVIVE ME! "Revive thy work" in the midst of these wicked years! "Revive" us ALL that we might REJOICE in you with "Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory"!

FOURTH...(B) COME AND VISIT

Dear Father, we ask in Jesus' name.. "Come and Visit" with great demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and Power. "Come and Visit" your people again! Spirit of God, come and reveal the greatness and glory of our Father and our God; of Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Lord and our God; and of you blessed Spirit of God, our helper, our friend, and the "Demonstrator" of the "Power" of our God!
    Oh Righteous Father, "Restore" your mighty "Presence and Power"....which you have rightfully "Withheld" due to our disobedience, compromise, worldliness and unfaithfulness! Restore your "Glory" Again to your churches!
    Cause your "Fire" to fall on (name your church here) and ALL your fundamental churches EVERYWHERE in America and the world! May your "Fires" spread throughout communities surrounding our churches, engulfing whole towns, cities and counties! Like a "Forest Fire" or a "Prairie Fire" may it spread and "Burn" throughout all our States and across "Our Land" for your "Glory"! May it spread to other countries of the world as well. Father, fill your "Houses" (that become "Houses of Prayer") with your glory, your presence, and your power! Turn the hearts of your people back to you AGAIN! "Come and Visit" with the might and power demonstrated by the Holy Spirit..and stay "until Jesus Comes"!

FOURTH...(C) COME AND RAIN RIGHTEOUSNESS UPON US

    Father, in Jesus' name and in obedience to your Word, we ask, "Come and Rain Righteousness Upon Us"! We seek your face..and will continue to seek you LORD, our Father, until we receive the "Rain of Righteousness"!
    Oh dear God, come and "Rain Righteousness" upon us and MAKE SIN WICKED AGAIN! Make it "Wicked" for your people and unsaved alike. Dear Father, you cause it to "Rain" real rain on the "Just and the Unjust." Cause your "Rain of Righteousness" to fall on both the "Saved and the Unsaved" everywhere.
    Make SIN horribly wicked once again. Make our own personal sins "Overwhelmingly" WICKED AGAIN! Make it impossible for Christians and unsaved people to "Stand-up" under the weight of their own personal sin! May "Saints and Sinners" alike cry out aloud their confession and hatred for their "Sins"!
    Father, Let it begin with Christians. "Come and Rain Righteousness" upon YOUR PEOPLE...upon YOUR CHURCHES....upon OUR LAND.. upon ME! Make it impossible for anyone (especially me) to try to "Excuse" much less "Hide" even the smallest sin. Make sin so wicked that we would be "afraid" to go NEAR SIN, much less touch it, pick it up, or play with it!
    Dear Father, as the real rain "softens" the ground to receive the seed sown, "soften and prepare" the hearts of unsaved people EVERYWHERE for one great and final "Harvest" before "Jesus Comes"! Oh merciful Father, may it be the greatest "Harvest of Souls" ever recorded for any one time in history. We would be bold to ask that one-fourth (1/4) to one half (1/2) of the population of the world to be saved! Even THREE BILLION SOULS..or MORE! God forbid that we would ask too little.
    We ask it all in Jesus' name and the "Glory of the Lord"! We "Know" it is your "Will" to give "Revival"! So, we ask it "Confidently," with all our heart, and with "Tears"...."Knowing" that you are "Hearing." We will continue to ask and plead until it becomes a "Reality" in America and the world!

FIFTH...FOR YOUR GLORY

    Dear Father, we desire ABOVE ALL..that YOU might be glorified and known..that Christ might be glorified and known...and that the blessed Spirit of God might be glorified and known!
    Oh Father, that "America" might know..that the "World" might KNOW that:

Thou art God! The ONLY true and
Living God! That there IS NO OTHER
GOD besides thee! And that Jesus
is the "Christ"! The "Son" of the "Living
God"! The ONLY true and living
"Saviour" for the whole world! And
that you have "Loved" your OWN
SON! That the blessed Holy Spirit is
"God with us"; the "God within" all
Who are saved; making "Real" all that
Christ is for us; our "Helper," our
"Teacher," our "Guide," and our Friend.
He alone "Demonstrates" the Power
of God" for us, working "Mightily" in
and through us!

    To you.. our Father and our God; our Saviour and our God; our Lord and our God...belong the "Glory"...the "Honor"....the "Praise" and all Thanksgiving"!
    Knowing that what we have "Asked" is according to your "Will" and all for your "Glory," we give you "Thanksgiving and Praise"...IN ADVANCE.. "Knowing" that you have "Heard" our prayers..and that we "HAVE" the petitions we desired of you!
    Thank you again..IN ADVANCE...for glorifying thy great name; the name of the dear Lord Jesus Christ; and the name of the blessed Spirit of God! May the "Cry of Praise and Thanksgiving " to you FILL THE EARTH!
    Knowing that we DESERVE NOTHING, and could NEVER EARN even the "least" of your favor, we ask these things in the "Name" of Jesus Christ...your "Son" and our Saviour," who has pleased you in "All Things," having "Earned All Things" including the privilege of prayer for us. Amen

Important Suggestions and steps.

Praying Alone Set a special time daily! Always follow the pattern! Don't leave any part out! Spend as much time on each point as you possibly can! Pray while you work! Pray while you drive your car! Pray on your work break or lunch! Pray with all your Heart! Jeremiah 29:12, 13, 14A Pray Daily!

Group Praying Follow the Pattern! Keep it brief.! Don't add much to each thought! Pray one at a time, out loud! Be sure all can hear each other! (Use a microphone in large rooms) Pray with all your heart! (Jeremiah 29:13 Believe God is Hearing You! (I John 5,15,15) Keep Praying Daily Until God Sends Revival!
