Living Water Bible Institute
Our Purpose Living Water Bible Institute will be an internet Christian School for the benefit and guiding of all true born again Christians and followers of the dear Lord Jesus Christ into a genuine spiritual life. Whether you are a teenager or a senior, we desire that you may come to know and experience an intimate knowledge and fellowship with our Father in Heaven; with the true and only living Saviour for the whole world, the dear Lord Jesus Christ; and with the blessed spirit of God...that Holy person who indwells (lives in) the bodies of all true born again Christians. Another desire of ours is that each and everyone who takes these simple courses may do more than just learn a few more Bible facts. We are praying that you may discover a "Spiritual Life" that the majority of Christians have never seen or heard of, much less experienced on a moment by moment, daily basis. But believe this, there really is such a spiritual life awaiting all who desire it. The decision is yours. You will decide how close you want to be with our God...who is the only true and living God...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. No matter your age, or how long or short you have been saved, it is not too late to experience and enjoy our Father's true spiritual life. My only regret, looking back at my life after being saved at the age of thirteen (13) on May 4, 1954, is that I did not even begin to learn, understand, or experience these Bible truths we want to share with you, until I was in my mid to late twenties. I wish someone would have shared these simple principles and truths with me as a saved teenager. I was twenty-eight (28) years old when I was "Filled" with the Holy Spirit at two minutes past midnight the morning of August 27, 1969, for the first time. (There is one initial "Filling" and a great many "Re-fillings" for a "Spirit Filled" life. But we'll cover that subject extensively later in our studies.) At that time, on that blessed morning, I had been a full time Evangelist over six (6) years. Oh , without question, I was heart hungry and literally crying daily in my prayers for true Spirituality, as well as to be "Spirit Filled during those first six (6) years in Revival meetings. But...I was totally ignorant about "how" to know and experience anything spiritual, much less a Spirit-filled life. Plus as a life long introvert, I was too scared to talk to and seek guidance from Godly men I personally knew, such as, Dr. Lee Roberson; Dr. Bill Rice; or Dr. John R. Rice. Why? I was afraid they would find out I was not "Spirit Filled" and would quit recommending me for Revival meetings! That about pride and ignorance personified..that was me. I even scheduled five different appointments to talk to Dr. Roberson about how to be "Filled"...but in fear and embarrassment, I canceled each one of them just hours before it was time to see him. Talk about miserable! That was reality for me. A MERCIFUL FATHER However, God in his mercy and wonderful grace, knowing my fear of talking to people, began to do something different for this poor, pitiful preacher. To my amazement, He began to lead me to special books that, over time, began to open the eyes of my heart and His Word. Most of these famous authors, which I had never heard of, were used of the Lord to guide me into life changing truths. With the help of the blessed Spirit of God and these godly men, I began to see and understand. I was not only changed and empowered by the Spirit of God, I began to share these truths, spiritual secrets, and Bible principles with Pastors and church members in all our Revival meetings. Praise the Lord, preachers and people have been gloriously changed and empowered to live "Spiritual" lives throughout America and the world as a result. And now, we want to share these secret truths and principles with you, in whatever part of the world you may find us on the internet. SPREAD THE WORD! Spiritual help..made simple..understandble..and practical is on the way. NOT THE SAME There really is a difference in a Christian and a spiritual Christian. In Galatians 6:1 we find "Brethern, if a man (or woman...a person) be overtaken in a fault YE WHICH ARE SPIRITUAL (because not all born again Christians are spiritual), restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest (unless) then also be tempted. (Explanations and emphasis added by Dr. Dunn) Sad to say, the greater majority of born again Christians (and preachers) could never be called "Spiritual". But, it has nothing to do with having less talent; ability; personality; charisma; or gifts. We all know people who are greatly talented and also..full of themselves! I feel sorry for these and for that Christian majority who have settled for a life that is far less than what God says in His Word it can and should be. It doesn't have to be that way any longer. The secret thoughts and deep desires down inside of you are from God. The blessed Spirit of God is telling you there is help and hope...and here it is. THE DIFFERENCE Again, spiritual growth and Christian growth...growing in grace..are not the same thing. But, it is impossible to understand, know and experience true spiritual growth without first experiencing some degree of Christian growth. Of course you understand that, as children, we did not start school by enrolling in the sixth (6th) grade, much less in Junior or Senior High School. Nor did we learn math by starting our education with multiplication or division. No, we needed to first learn..one plus one equals two (1+1=2)...in the first grade before we would grow into bigger and more difficult instruction. It is the same with Christian growth and spiritual growth. It is a process that takes time and patience. For most of us, it also takes guidance from those who have already learned and experienced the truth and reality of a spiritual life that we all need and desire...if truly saved. A PRACTICAL PRINCIPLE Praise the Lord, physical growth and spiritual growth are not alike, as far as time is concerned. Some Christians can and have become ten, fifteen, or even twenty years old. spiritually within one or two years after getting saved. But, that is always determined by each individual Christian. Remember this very important principle and Bible truth. "You can't hurry God's process of spiritual growth...but you can slow it down...or even bring it to a complete halt!"
In your heart, determine this. Don't let anything or anyone keep you from knowing and experiencing an intimate fellowship with your Heavenly Father; with Jesus Christ, your Saviour, who also wants to be your Lord and friend; and with the blessed Holy Spirit, who is God indwelling you...and longs to be that "Friend" who leads, guides, directs, and empowers you for witnessing, soul winning, service and spiritual living. OH WHAT JOY! Just imagine knowingly having and enjoying real fellowship with God daily. No more faking it! Not just "talking it"...without really experiencing it. There really is a spiritual life awaiting you! Oh, the misery of just going through the motions of acting like a Christian, while secretly experiencing little or no reality of what you have read in the Bible or have heard preached from the Word of God. Too many simply think or conclude, "It must be possible for preachers and a few hand-picked Christians..but not for me." If this is even partially true of you, then you are pleasing Satan, or at the least being guilty of listening to and believing his filthy lies! If so, you are one of the groups of Christians for whom we have designed Living Water Bible Institute. With our help, you will no longer be guessing or shooting in the dark about how to become a spiritual Christian pleasing to God. And, if you are a faithful preacher of the Word of God and the true gospel who preaches and proves that eternal salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, as recorded in Ephesians 2:8 ,9 and many other verses of scriptures, but your ministry is more of a job or profession; lacking in a genuine fellowship with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost; or missing the anointing and power that comes with truly being "Filled" with the Spirit..then you too will profit greatly from the simple, understandable and practical instruction and guiding you will discover through LWBI. LOSS OF JOY Sad to say, when it comes to knowing and having the power of God, most preachers and Christians have accepted and or believed the wrong thinking, teaching, and even out-right "Lies" circulating throughout Christianity today. No, it is not true that you were "Filled with the Spirit when you got saved! Even the Apostle Paul, the greatest Christian in the New Testament, was not "Filled" with the Holy Spirit until three (3) days after he got saved on the road to Damascus! (Acts 9:1-17...see verse 17) It breaks our heart to see and hear the great, amount of false teaching and belief about the power of God in America and the world today. But it has been commonly accepted by Evangelicals and Baptists for more then twenty-five (25) years. It's no wonder that a great many Churches today compromise their preaching, teaching and practice. Most are either dead or dying; invaded by the fashions and standards of the world; have become places of teaching instead of preaching; have adopted the practice of pleasing the people adults and teenagers alike..giving them what they "want", rather than what they need; bringing the music and sounds of the world, which are mostly entertainment, worldly and grieving to the Holy Spirit, reaching the foot and not the heart; which pleases men..rather than the Lord! God have mercy on us! Of course, if you don't really have the presence and power of God in your church or upon you personally, you have to do things to make it look as though you do. However, most of us have known or been around a few godly people through whom you have felt the presence and power of God upon them. What a joy and privilege that is. You knew for sure that they were different. What you felt and saw was Christ formed in them, as well as, the Holy Spirit "upon" them. We want to guide you through the scriptures so you too can become like one of them. Better yet, so you will become more like Christ each day. That is the real goal. BELIEVE THIS! There is hope for you! There is help coming your way through the internet and Living Water Bible Institute. What we will share with you and guide you through will not only answer your many unanswered questions, it will literally change you into the kind of Christian that pleases God on a daily basis, but will also bring glory to the dear Lord Jesus Christ as others see Jesus in you. FULLNESS OF JOY Do you really desire to have fullness of joy as a Christian? Then there is only one way that it can become true in your life on a daily basis. We find the answer for this in I John 1:3,4. "...and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. (:4) And these things write we unto you, that YOUR JOY MAY BE FULL." (Emphasis by Dr. Dunn) Did you see it? Fullness of joy is impossible without knowing and experiencing a genuine fellowship with God our Father and with His Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. But, that is not all. Again, in Psalms 16:11 we read, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: IN THY PRESENCE is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (Emphasis by Dr. Dunn) Imagine this. Knowingly having and enjoying real fellowship with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost daily. Yes, even with the blessed Holy Spirit. In II Corinthians 13:14 we read, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God (the Father), and the COMMUNION OF THE HOLY GHOST, be with you all. Amen" (Emphasis and Explanation by Dr Dunn.) There it is, easy to see and understand. We can and should be having daily fellowship with the blessed Holy Spirit of God, as well. Webster's Dictionary defines commune and/or communion as: "To have verbal intercourse (conversation) with someone...with another person." Isn't that an exciting idea! Those who teach or say that we, as Christians, should not talk to the blessed Holy Spirit do not know what they are talking about..much less know the Spirit of God in an intimate, personal way. He is as much God as the dear Lord Jesus Christ. OUR TEACHER GUIDE John 14:26A "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my (Jesus') name, He shall teach you all things..." Of course, that verbal conversation is more one-sided on our part. As in the scriptures, He seldom speaks to us verbally. But, He does lead and guide with prompting's, assurances and scriptural thoughts. These are similar to His convicting of our sins and leading's to witness to someone with which every Christian (including this preacher) has had much experience. However, for those who have been and are being "Filled" with the Spirit on a regular basis, He loves to reveal Himself and His presence in more intimate ways. Often it is just to let you know He is there..and still "Upon" you...and that he is pleased that you know and talk to Him. But, we will go into more detail when we study "HOW" to be filled with the Holy Spirit...and how to walk and pray in the Spirit. Oh, what blessed times those will be! However, that verbal conversation, much less an intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, is IMPOSSIBLE on a regular, daily moment by moment basis, unless...you have first been "Filled with the Spirit." So we can easily conclude that a really intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit IS POSSIBLE...but not until you, as a born again Christian, have been "Spirit Filled." Let me give you three (3) simple verses of scripture which should encourage you. In Romans 14:17 We find, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST. (:18) For he that in these things serveth Christ, is acceptable to God, and approved of men." Then in Romans 15:13 we read, "Now the God of hope will fill you will all JOY and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Last of all, Acts 13:51 reads, "And the disciples were filled with JOY and WITH THE HOLY GHOST." A SERIOUS QUESTION How could anyone call themselves "Spiritual" without being "Spirit Filled?" And what about "Power" to witness; to win souls; to teach; to preach; to sing; to serve; to overcome sin; to live a Christian life daily; to walk in the Spirit; to pray in the Spirit; to constantly be led of the Spirit...and know it? What a weak and powerless life it is for every Christian who is NOT FILLED with the Spirit. Could anyone call such a life spiritual? Of course not! Not and still remain truthful. THE BEGINNING This is why the Lord has led us to start Living Water Bible Institute as an internet Christian School. That we might share with you the truths, principles and secrets of the Lord for true spiritual living....which we have been doing in our Revival Meetings...as well as, on cassette tape around the world for over thirty-seven years. Scores of preachers and thousands of Christians have been changed forever. Now we want to help millions! MAJORING ON THE SPIRITUAL We will labor in the Holy Spirit to guide you, at your own pace to the understanding and reality of "how" to discover and live a spiritual life. To accomplish this we will major on three (3) basic and eternally important areas. These are: The Bible, God's holy infallible Word; the secrets of real Prayer that gets answers on a regular basis; and the power of God that comes "upon" a Christian when they are truly "Filled" with the Spirit...and you will know it. Every Christian man, woman, or teenager, can and should be someone who loves and lives in the Book...the Bible; also living a life of prayer daily, fellowshiping intimately with God our Father even getting miraculous things from Him; and refusing to settle for anything less than being "Filled" with the Spirit! That's what we need today more than ever before: men and women of the Book; of Prayer; and of Power! Only these can and will make an eternal difference in our world...wherever they may be. And, the good news is that you can be a Christian like that...if you desire it with all your heart. HELP IS HERE! WHAT WE BELIEVE 1. We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures. We believe that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God's plan and purpose in the ages. 2. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 3. We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurection of Jesus Christ. 4. We believe that salvation is "by grace" plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith. 5. We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 6. We believe in a pretribulational rapture and the visible, personal, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ. 7. We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
